The Film-directors had dinner with their Scandinavian and Baltic colleagues at Villa Kivi.

Finnish Movie-directors’ association SELO had asked Talvi to sponsor / co-host the dinner..

Thus the directors also got a brief presentation of the RED CAM and discussed the digital Medias as a part of the movie-making process today.

This spurred animated conversation and hopes of learning more about RED shooting and the RED post-production work flow, as well as learning more about the possibilities provided by digital Medias in picturemaking, when building the pictures.

The latter is obviously referring to cgi-post (computer generated imagery, visual effects and 3D animation compressed into a filmed picture). The cleaning of landscapes, removing cars from a street scene, day into night, lights into windows, storms, blizzards, mountains, etc. that can be brought into the picture using cgi-methods.

These subjects greatly fascinated the directors and as a result, Talvi is preparing an event with lectures introducing cgi-post-production, for Finnish directors.
