Digital multi channel communication is a term for actions that combines multiple digital channels, utilizes unique benefits of Internet and Web 2.0 and uses digital content creation to create value to the audience in the marketing or corporate communications.
For example, if a company is trying to promote a new product release, they could send out an email message or TV-commercial campaign individually. This, if properly executed, could yield positive results. However, this same campaign could be exponentially improved if multiple message types and interactive communities are implemented – a TV commercial, a cinema commercial, a radio commercial, mobile, microsite, blogs, web communities, viral, banners, email campaign, search engine campaign etc.
